   To begin, we need to unlock the phone by pressing the Lock button located on the right-hand side of the phone

   Alternatively, we can press the Home button at the bottom of the screen to unlock the phone as well

   Swipe to the right, and we can enter a Passcode, or simply use the fingerprint scanner by pressing a finger to the Home button

   Find the MapMyRun icon, which is blue and white with a man running inside of a white circle

   It automatically takes us to the map screen, where we can begin recording our workouts

    We need access to Twitter from the MapMyRun app in order to send a tweet about it, which we don't have on this phone. We only have access to Facebook, but this can be changed in the settings.

    We can also send an "SMS" message by tapping on that option

    It will start to compose a text message that includes a sentence about MapMyRun with a link as well

When I type my friend's name it won't show her?

There is so many Nicoles and I can't find her

You will need to contact your friend to find her user name. The user name may be not even a name. You can register on MapMyRun with any name or log in with Facebook, where the application will use Facebook details. For more information on how to edit one's user name, please view our tutorial on how to edit profile data in MapMyRun, where steps 6 and 7 clearly demonstrate that. Therefore, for example, a user name for John Smith can be something like jsmith11 if he desires to. You can also give your own details to your friend so that she can add you. You can find your name in step 6 of our tutorial on how to view your profile.
