Although there is a seemingly endless supply of free apps and games in the Google Play digital marketplace, there are some that cost money. Whether it's an in-app purchase for an upgrade or to remove ads, or, to get the pro version of a particular application, users have to have a payment method set up and in place. If you use an app frequently and it helps you in your day-to-day life, it only makes sense to support the developers by snagging the full or pro version.

The Play Store offers a variety of payment methods; credit card, debit card, PayPal, and Subscriber billing. Even if you only use free apps, it's still a good idea to have an active payment method up and running. You never know when you might want that upgrade, or if you just get sick of the in-app ads.
