Lumia 535 Microsoft, I can get my contact into WhatsApp?

I can see my friends contact in WhatsApp. I have 740 contacts all on WhatsApp on my phone but only 10 appears at WhatsApp, please help me. I just bought the phone yesterday and I need to WhatsApp some friends. I exported the contact from my SD card to the phone and I can find the contact there but in WhatsApp no, I don't understand it, I have tried all I can to get it but no solution. That means that only 10 people have installed WhatsApp on their phones. They can own a phone number, but they may have no WhatsApp account: that is why you see only a few people.

To invite more people, tap on "All" and select the contact you wish to invite to WhatsApp. Tap "More" and then tap "invite to WhatsApp".
