You can access your favorite apps right from the Home Screen of your Samsung Galaxy.
Home screen shortcuts on the Samsung Galaxy S5 help you quickly open applications and folders that you regularly use. This way you don't need to scroll through application menus, or cycle through multiple buttons and screens just to find an app. Instead, you can add an application icon to any Home Screen, and just tap it once to open the app.

Holding the icon for 2-3 seconds doesn't show the trash can at the top. I'm unable to delete it.
If you are attempting to delete a factory app, such as S Voice, then you will not be able to delete it the normal way. Instead, you will need to disable it. You can disable apps on the Samsung Galaxy S5 by following these steps:
