You're watching VisiHow. Today, I'm going to show you how you can activate offline mode on the Spotify application on the iPhone 6.
Steps
1
To begin, we can unlock our phone by pressing the Lock button on the side, or the Home button at the bottom
.
2
Next, swipe to enter a passcode
.
3
We can also use the fingerprint scanner
.
4
Find the Spotify icon, which is the black and green one
.
It has a green circle with three curved black lines inside.
5
Press the icon once to open up the app, and it should take us to the "BROWSE" page, which is almost like the Spotify Home page
.
6
Then we need to go to the top left corner, where there are three horizontal white lines, and press down
.
7
Tap on "Settings" at the bottom, which is indicated by a cog icon on the left
.
8
Go to Playback, which is the second option down from the top
.
9
We are given a new "PLAYBACK" window, where we can enable or disable different functions
.
10
"Offline Mode" is the first option
.
11
At the moment, it is disabled because the switch is black
.
12
Tap on the switch, and it goes green to enable this option
.
13
Now, we have a new option, "Go Online Within"
.
Underneath this says, "When offline, only the music you've made available for offline listening will be playable".
14
For example, let's back two screens and click on "Your Music", which is the second option from the bottom
.
15
Now, we only have certain songs available to play
.
This is indicated by the very small green circles next to the album.
16
For example, "George Gershwin" is not available to play
.
17
That's because it's offline
.
18
"Jacques Brel" is available to play
.
19
This is because Spotify kind of downloads the offline songs
.
20
We have a limit, as well, with how many albums we can have in our offline music
.
We can switch it back on by going back to "PLAYBACK" and simply disabling "Offline Mode".
21
This allows all of our music to be played
.
22
This is even though some are still indicated by a green circle
.
23
Go back by pressing the three horizontal lines in the top left corner
.
24
Then, press the "Browse" option, which is the second one down
.
25
That takes us back to the screen where we started
.
26
This is a VisiHow video, and I've just shown you how you can activate offline mode on the Spotify application on the iPhone 6
.
