I forgot my pattern unlock on a Samsung Edge 7?

I had restarted the phone because it froze up. When it restarted, it wouldn't take my fingerprint that I'd set up. I have tried: 1. fingerprint swipe. 2. various patterns I THOUGHT were the right ones. 3. Calling from another phone to see if that would override.. I think it was caused by: Being an idiot. LOL... Seriously, I am not remembering my pattern because I've been using the fingerprint instead.

First, log on to https://findmymobile.samsung.com and enter your Samsung log-in name and password. Then, select your device and click "Protect my device". Then, click "Unlock my screen". Then, "Unlock". This should unlock your S7, even though a restart may be required.

The next solution is hard-resetting S7 as shown in this article.
