As far as we understand, your coworker and you are to fly to another city for a conference. If it is so, then you can use the draft below for your own e-mail message to your colleague.

Dear [the name of your coworker]:

I am writing you to discuss our arrangements before the [name of the conference] conference. I am from the [name of the department], and I would like to know if you have information on our [my] flight to [city] and the booked hotel details. I have not been apprised of these yet, and I thought that it was best to contact you first as I was told that we were to attend the meeting together. If you have no information, would you like me to order a flight and book a hotel for us?

Hi, actually our company wants to conduct an audition in a college, and they asked me to write an email to the college. Can you help me with that?

I already called a member of that college union, and they asked me to write an email about the event. In this problem, a company is approaching a college, not a student. I have tried: I tried writing some emails, but they all seem to be like unprofessional. I think it was caused by: I want the email to sound as a professional email. I really need help with that.
