USB Tethering greyed out and I'm unable to copy my files?

With the last Android update (6.0.1), the option in the notification area vanished and now USB tethering is also greyed out. I could always switch from charging to MTP via the notification bar, now I don't have that option. When I go to USB tethering, it is greyed out and shows that the USB is not connected. I've tried a different cord, but nothing.. I have tried: Developer mode - shows MTL enabled.
