Use Galaxy S5 with Screen Turned Off

Questions and Answers

Why did my screen go black after dropping my phone when everything else still works?

I dropped my phone face down on the screen, since then the screen has gone black. All buttons and lights work and I can ring my phone and it still rings. Have I just dislodged something inside as the screen is NOT cracked at all and it functions perfectly other than the black screen? I have not seen an answer or a question that applies to this problem. I have a feeling that it may be something simple like a dislodged wire or something similar. I have tried: I tried to push the power button twice, it didn't work. I also tried a reset start. I think it was caused by: I dropped the phone on a hard floor, although I have it in a cushioned case, the front of the case was open.
