Questions and Answers

Why can't I see my Note3 screen on TV with the AllShare Cast Dongle after the update to Kitkat 4.4.2?

I tried all the steps you describe but no luck until now. Can you help me?

The reason lies on your recent firmware update. The change on your Note3 could have changed your compatibility or settings with the dongle. What you can do is try to re-connect both devices to each other. On the event that it does not work, it is possible that the firmware you are currently using is not compatible with the dongle.

It will depend on the type of TV you are using for the smart TVs allow you to be able to pair up your phone with them while others do not allow that type of connection.

If your LG TV has an available HDMI port, you can connect the Note3 using a special adapter. The adapter is called the MHL 2.0 HDTV Smart Adapter. You can find it on Samsung's website here:

You'll also need a regular HDMI cable to connect from the adapter to your TV.

Plugged in dongle to HDMI 2, reset dongle until it turned blue, Note3 could see it, could not connect. Then suddenly some upgrade happened and now it no longer sees the dongle?

Hi, I have a Galaxy note 8.0 and have just purchased a Samsung AllShare cast dongle which won't connect?

The dongle works with my mother's phone but not with the Note? I have done everything correct and the Note picks up the dongle, it even says it is enabled and looks as though its about to start up but then the Note says screen mirroring disabled and gives up. We have tried downloading several apps to the Note but they don't recognize the device
