Questions and Answers

Actually I have an HP Pavilion laptop and the function keys won't dim or brighten?

I really don't know what to do here

If you have recently upgraded your operating system then it is possible that your brightening and dimming keys are actually F7 and F8. If that is not the case, then you may need to reset a default option in your device manager. Go to Start>Control>Manager>Hardware and Sound and Devices manager. Find the Monitors icon and then check scan for hardware changes. If a driver is detected check remove it and then shut off and turn on your computer again. The original brightness controls should be restored to your Pavillion laptop.
