Are you using a generic brand HDMI cord to connect or a genuine Samsung brand cord? Often an inability to connect to anything is the result of using a cord that is incompatible with the task or the devices. Even if you are using a Samsung HDMI or MHL to HDMI cable, it should work. Try replacing the cable with a brand new Samsung one and then see if it works.

Connecting my Android phone to an LCD TV so as to use as a bigger monitor for films?

Hiya. I have recently bought a lead with a micro USB connector on one end and an HDMI connector on the other.. When connected to TV via HDMI cable, phone loses internet and phone signal?

When I connect my Samsung S5 to the TV in order to watch internet videos on a bigger screen, the Internet signal cuts off. Video mirroring through the cable is perfect but the phone signal and data drops as soon as I plug the cable into the phone. I've tried different cables, on different TVs , and different phones (S5, S3). I'm a starting to think could be the phone company which is somehow restricted the usage of Internet videos if mirrored? Can't be the cable, as I bought and tried 3 different ones. Is it a setting on Android? Thank you

Can any of the data be retrieved from a phone that has a missing screen, but still powers up and turns ON?

I am curious to know if there is a way to pull data from a phone's hard drive that has a missing screen, but it still can turn ON and OFF. So, I am assuming it is booting up, but is there a way to connect it to a laptop or TV to get the data from it?
