Fungal infection causing a lot hair fall and I am experiencing receding hairline?

It started around an year ago, I experienced seeing a lot of thinning in the front( do not know what the exact reason is). Tonsured my head almost 6 times to see if that would improve. Nothing helped. The doctor said it was some fungal infection and suggested me use a fungal shampoo. Neither did that help. I can see very small circles, I lose my hair only in that area. And more over that is the only place where it itches more. Please help, I have tried all possible things to get rid of this infection or whatever it is. I am 25years old male. I am a bit health conscious. I have been taking multivitamin tablets, using onion juice, ACV, Aloevera pulp, Ginger, garlic still no results. I really do not have any hopes on these doctors as they often prescribe finesteride and minoxydil. I really need some help please. I have tried: I have been taking multivitamin tablets, using onion juice, ACV, Aloevera pulp, Ginger, garlic still no results. I think it was caused by: I have been going to public swimming pools. I really do not if that is one of the main reasons. But the last time I went to one was the same time when I started experiencing the problem. I stopped from going then on.
