What if I want to reveal files in my documents folder in the C drive?

I hid a file in my documents and I don't know how to retrieve it. I tried following the steps and inputting C: instead of F: but it didn't work. These steps are specifically for the F: drive. I tried inputting C: but that didn't work, then I tried inputting Documents: but that didn't work either. It seems command prompts needs something more specific
