And click inside the shape to fill it in
Next, click "Select" in the upper-left corner of the window
If you unable to see the horizontal menu because "Toolbox" is in the way, click and drag away the border of "Toolbox".
In the drop-down menu, click "None"
This is the second option in the "Select" menu. You can also press "Shift" + "Ctrl" + "A" on the keyboard.
Now, you can double-click "Eraser Tool"
It has a pink icon in "Toolbox". "Tool Options" will change at the bottom.
You can click items in "Tool Options" to edit them
For example, you can change "Opacity" by clicking the line.
There is also a number on the right-hand side which you can manually change
For this example, let's keep the opacity high.
After that, select a brush you would like to use
There are numerous styles, both hard and soft.
Change the size, aspect ratio, and angle of the brush by clicking or typing numbers
These fields can be edited in the same way as "Opacity". These brush settings will depend on for what you are using the eraser.
Finally, you can select different effects by checking any of the boxes at the bottom
You can check "Apply jitter", or a staggered look.
You can check "Smooth stroke" if you want a polished look
Other effects are also included, such as "Hard edge" and "Anti-erase".
Click and drag the eraser cursor across the shape to erase it
Parts of the shape will be erased without creating new objects or paths. Each eraser stroke will appear as a separate step on the right-hand side.
