Edited by Thor, Rushell, Eng
Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to use the Twitter lens when using the Lumia Camera on a Microsoft Lumia 535. The twitter lens is automatically added to Lumia Camera as soon as the Twitter application is downloaded and installed. The lens can be used to send a photo directly from Lumia Camera to your twitter account. Not only will it send the photo to your account, but it will also immediately bring up the option to send a tweet.
Steps
1
To get started, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone
.
2
Once activated, swipe the lock screen up to get to the home screen
.
3
Find the Lumia Camera tile
.
It has a purple background with a white image of a camera in the middle. If Lumia Camera has not been pinned to the home screen, swipe left to find it in the Apps menu.
4
Press Lumia Camera to open the application
.
5
Press the ellipsis, or three dots in a line, at the bottom right corner of the screen
.
6
Tap on "lenses" at the top of the menu that is now open
.
7
Press on the Twitter tile
.
It is light blue and has an image of a bird on it. This will open up a slightly different style of camera. It does not have the same options that the Lumia Camera application has, and only a simple standard photo can be taken.
8
Press the icon at the top right of the screen to take a selfie
.
The icon has an image of a person inside a white circle. Tapping this icon will change from the back to the front camera.
9
Press the icon again to switch to the back camera
.
The icon changes in color and becomes somewhat inverted with the front camera.
10
Tap on the ellipsis again to bring up the "photo settings" option
.
Tap on "photo settings."
11
The "Photo Settings" screen presents several options, including the option to turn the flash on or off and the option to tap on the screen to take a photo
.
12
Tap on the box under "Scenes" to reveal a drop-down menu
.
There are several scene options. There are also quite a few additional options to adjust and change in "Photo Settings".
13
Tap the "save" button at the bottom left of the screen
.
14
Take a photo by pressing on the icon of a camera inside a circle located on the bottom right side of the screen
.
This will immediately bring up Twitter with the photo inserted into a tweet. It will also provide the option to add text and send that tweet immediately.
15
Press the "accept" button if satisfied with the photo or "retake" to take the photo again
.
16
The white dots below the photo represent different filters
.
17
Scroll through the various filters by swiping left or right across the screen
.
18
Tap on the ellipsis, or three blue dots, at the bottom right corner of the screen
.
This will add names to the icons at the bottom of the screen.
19
The first icon with an image of a disk inside a circle is the option to "save" the picture
.
20
The second option, the icon with what looks like a sparkling magic wand inside a circle, provides the option to "enhance" the photo
.
21
The third icon with three different shades of dots allows more filters
.
22
The final option at the bottom is to "crop", which has an icon of a square with a line running across it diagonally
.
23
Save the current photo by tapping on the first icon at the bottom of the screen
.
24
Now, the option to tweet the photo appears
.
25
Scroll down to view the photo, which has been automatically inserted into the tweet message
.
26
Delete the photo if desired by tapping on the x at the top right corner of the image
.
27
To add text to the tweet, tap on the text box at the top and use the keyboard to type in a message
.
28
I will use the hashtag with this and type in "magicfingers"
.
To find out more about using hashtags, search this website for a video on how to do that.
29
To send this message via Twitter, press the first icon with a moving bird inside a circle at the bottom of the screen
.
