Before we narrow down the feature of the Oppo Find 7 on how you can use the phone camera's super zoom, let us talk about the manufacturer first. Oppo Electronics Corporation is a manufacturer of electronic devices such as Blu-ray player, Mp3 players, E-books, Mobile phones and PMP (Portable Media Players). The company is based in China, specifically in Dongguan, Guangdong. The said company was founded way back in 2004 and registered the Oppo brand in many countries.
Oppo participated in the mobile market as well. Currently, Oppo has Find 5 which is a Smartphone with 2GB RAM and 1.5GHz Quad-Core Processor. Also, Oppo announced their latest phone, the Oppo N1 which was released last December 2013. Oppo also holds the record for having the thinnest Smartphone in the word with 125 - 66 - 6.65 mm Dimensions. The phone model is called Finder and was released way back in 2007 July 1st.
Introducing Oppo Find 7a
The Oppo Find 7a has 5.5 inches in Gorilla Glass 3 that supports 1080p in full HD at 1920 x 1080 for its resolution and 403 pixels. As per the Oppo they designed the Find 7a to work flawlessly while you are using gloves or if your fingers are wet or the phone screen have small droplets of water on the screen. Although it was not specified, these gloves they are referring to but more or less, leather or latex. Unlike most Smartphones, that you cannot see anything on screen when hit by direct sunlight. The Oppo find 7a uses a high amount of brightness for you to see most of the screen contents.
Oppo also has a notification light called Skyline Notification System that looks so great on your phone. This LED notification looks very pleasing and is easy to be seen whenever you receive text messages, emails or if you missed a call. You can also change the settings of this LED notification light to be on while you are charging the phone.
The Oppo 7a has a removable back cover and a battery of 2800 mAh, the back cover can be removed using a small access button or do the typical use of your nail to pop the back cover. The phone came with an internal storage of 32GB and a RAM of 3GB. Also, if the internal storage is not enough for you then you can simply insert your SD-Card and give the phone an extra storage. The phone is capable of "128GB" for your external storage. You read it right; it can be expanded up to 128 GB! The Oppo Find 7a is currently using an Android operating system of 4.3, which is jelly bean and not yet on Kit-Kat. In the future updates, it may have a firmware upgrade, sooner or later this year the phone might receive an update to its firmware.
Oppo Find 7a camera
The Oppo Find 7a primary camera is at 13 MP with 4128 x 3096 pixels, autofocus and a dual-LED flash. The Primary camera of the phone supports 2160p at 30fps, 1080p at 60fps and 720p at 120fps in making a video. The phone also has a secondary camera like other phones, this has a 5 MP. From the13 MP primary camera of the phone, you can also take a 50 MP image shot. Although HD has a vibrant color but the Oppo Find 7a has the power to make it possible to take a 50 MP. These are burst shots (10 Burst shot) and being piled into one, taking a 50 Mp shot from a 13 MP camera may take 2 seconds as the phone will pile those images. Remember that it involves multiple shots and post-processing. Wondering how to take a 50 MP shot from a 13 MP camera? See the steps below on how you can achieve it:
- 1Go to your list of applications and launch the camera application.Advertisement
- 2On the main screen of the camera, you will see there a circle with three dots looking icon located on the top right.Tap it to view the drop down menu, scroll it down and look for the HD PictureAdvertisement
- 3When you are going to take a picture to a specific angle on screen. You need to tap it first for the phone zoom in to that angle, then tap the capture button to take a picture.Advertisement
Please note that the image is not at regular 2Mb size since it is on 50 MP shot. The size of the image would be up to 13 MB. You will find an image comparison below from a normal picture, to HD and the 50 MP camera picture shot.
This is a 13 MP Normal shot coming from the Oppo Find 7a.
This is a 13 MP HD shot coming from the Oppo Find 7a.
This is a 50 MP Super zoom shot from the Oppo Find 7a.
Note: These images have been re-sized from the actual images. Although the 13 MP HD shot and the 50 MP may look the same, it was a huge difference. You would notice it's a huge difference once you are going to zoom the 50 MP image where you can see the strands of those flowers nor the skin lines if you are going to take a picture of your hand.
Other phone hardware specifications and features
The Oppo Find 7a does not stop there for its cool features. Most of Smartphone owners are having problems with their phone upon charging it. Normally, a Smartphone would take a couple of your minutes before it can get 5% battery life on the phone. However, the Oppo Find 7a has a cool feature that is called "Rapid charge".
This feature can charge your phone 4 times faster than regular charging rate. Let's just say that your phone is totally dead and you cannot turn it on where you need to charge it. Also, you need to call someone as it is urgent that you need to inform them. What you need to do is to charge the Oppo Find 7a for 5 minutes, then boot up the phone and start calling those people with your urgent needs. The 5 minutes charging of the phone is equivalent to a 2 Hours phone call and a 30 minutes charge of the phone is an equivalent to 75% battery life charge which I find it convenient especially for business and urgent needs for calling someone.
