You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show how to use the slicer mode on the Pioneer DDJ SX2 DJ controller.
First of all, we press "SLICER".
The button will light up in red. This is the button in the "Pad mode" area. It is the third from the left.
Now, we press the "PLAY" key.
We will see that the blue light will get to where the track is playing.
If we press one of the pad buttons, we can start a loop.
To change the duration of the loop, we can press and hold a button.
Then, we can
- press the left "PARAMETER" key for a smaller loop;
- press the right "PARAMETER" key for a longer loop.
We can press "SHIFT" and the left "PARAMETER" key.
This will decrease the sampling duration window. We will see that the lights will go faster.
We can press the sampler buttons.
We can press "SHIFT" and the right "PARAMETER" key.
This will increase the sampling duration window.
We can also press "SHIFT" and "SLICER".
This will activate the "SLICER LOOP" mode. This will keep the track from playing past the indicated point. We can just manipulate the audio from the point. We can play with the track as much as we want, and it will not move forward.
To deactivate the loop, we press the "SLICER" button again.
These were the "SLICER" and the "SLICER LOOP" modes on the Pioneer DDJ SX2 DJ controller. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the space below. Thanks for watching VisiHow!
