So, why does the phone have to be connected to the Internet for S Voice to execute a DIAL command?

Like Siri and Google Now, S Voice uses servers to process its commands. This helps take the processing burden off of the device itself, allowing for faster results for the user. The downside, of course, is that functions that work without internet (alarm clock, dialing, etc.) cannot be handled by S Voice unless a WiFi or data connection is established.

  • Go to your S Voice application.
  • Press the Menu key on your phone.
  • From the settings list that pops up, tap Settings.

Why doesn't my Galaxy S4 with S Voice and BlueAnt Q2 always work?

Sometimes when using BlueAnt Q2, it will tell me that this feature is not on my phone and many many times S Voice says it can't find a network but I can find it manually. What is the problem?

If this is the case, your phone's signal is not very good. You can find it manually because that is easier for the phone to do with a low signal.

Can I use the S Voice on my Galaxy S4 without the internet? If so, how?

I want to be able to use my Bluetooth without being connected to the network. If I am not connected, the S voice tells me to connect to network and try again. I want to be able to make calls with my Bluetooth and not have the data on.

Unfortunately, you can't use S Voice without an internet connection. S Voice needs an internet connection to connect to a server to understand your command and complete the task you ask of it.
