Welcome to VisiHow! In this video, we are going to show you how to use the Outlook e-mail service to send a location or address when using the Microsoft Maps application on the Microsoft Lumia 535.
Turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone.
Once the phone is activated, the lock screen will become visible.
Swipe the lock screen up to get to the home screen.
Find the Maps tile on the home screen.
In this tutorial, it is pinned to the home screen. The tile has a blue background with a white map inside. If the Maps tile is not pinned to the home screen, swipe left to find it in the application menu.
Tap on the Maps tile once it is located to enter the application.
The goal is to send a chosen location or address to someone by using the Outlook e-mail service. For example, this is very useful when two people want to meet up at a location.
Find the location on the map.
Tap and hold the street or the location near the area to set a pin.
The pin will bring up the address of the location.
Tap the black text box with the white text inside to bring up the information about the area.
The "about" screen has the address field that is needed to be shared.
Tap the icon at the bottom in the middle to share the location.
The icon is a white circle with three arcs inside with gaps between them. This will bring up two options, which are "Messaging" and "Outlook".
Tap "Outlook" with the white Outlook symbol to send an e-mail message with the address.
The Internet connection is required for this operation. The Outlook client will be opened.
Tap the text box field to add any text for the e-mail message.
Tap the "To:" text field to add the addressee's e-mail address or the contact.
It is possible to add the subject too by tapping the "Subject" text box.
Tap the leftmost button at the bottom of the screen when the e-mail message has been composed.
The button is a black circle with a black envelope with three black lines that indicate movement. The e-mail message will be sent to the addressee.
This concludes the tutorial on how to use the Outlook e-mail service to send a location or address when using the Microsoft Maps application on the Microsoft Lumia 535.
