How do I change the default app that opens a file?

I went to My Files, clicked on Device storage under Local Storage, then went to Messaging. To OPEN the particular Message I had saved, I clicked on it, but then a pop-up window asks which program to open with. I incorrectly selected HTML and now I can't figure out how to change it.. I have tried: I have gone through my Settings to find the application to change its settings, but I am unable to locate what I need to change.
