In order to use Emoji on an iPad, you will need to have an emoji keyboard installed.
We have discussed that in the previous video. Just click the link in this tutorial to access that video.
For those of you who have the emoji layout installed and use it, tap on any of your applications that allow you to type.
You can use Notes, Reminders, Calendars, or, most commonly, Mail or Messages. In this case, let's tap on Messages.
Choose to whom you want to compose a message by tapping the name or number.
Alternatively, just tap on the compose button.
This will allow you to compose a new message.
You can choose for whom the message is by tapping the "To" input field.
You can also just start typing.
To type using the emoji layout, tap on this little globe icon in the lower-left corner.
A single or several taps on the globe icon will switch you to the emoji
layout, provided that this keyboard is listed in your keyboard list.
You can tap on the different smiley faces.
You'll have them typed in the message.
You can tap on animals, food items, sports, buildings, cars, lights, electric utilities, etc.
Each of these offers different icons that you can use.
Tap on the space key to put spaces.
Double-tapping on the space key will type a period.
If you want to turn double-tapping on the "space" key, refer to our tutorial on that.
Tap on "ABC" button.
This will take you back to your next keyboard layout.
If you have more than two keyboard layouts, you can tap and hold the globe icon.
This will allow you to choose your other keyboards.
Drag the finger to highlight keyboard layouts.
In this video, there are English, Russian, and "Emoji".
By moving my finger off "Emoji", you'll switch to the emoji keyboard.
In this video, if we tap the "ABC" button, the English keyboard will be shown.
