Use Display Zoom on iPhone 6
Edited by Kara, Colette Cole, Jen M, Eng
Hello. You are watching VisiHow. In this video, I'll show you to use the display zoom on iPhone 6.
We need to go straight to the settings.
Before we go to the settings, let me explain to you what the display zoom is used for.
If you have poor eyesight and if you have trouble seeing the writing under your icons, or if you need to text someone and the letters are too small for you to read them, you will be able to zoom them in.
The display zoom will just enlarge the areas in.
You can use it as a window to zoom in a particular area, or you can set it up full screen and then your whole screen will be zoomed in. Let's go to the settings as we mentioned before. It's the icon that looks like a little gray gear. I keep it on my front screen just for convenience.
Here we are in the main settings we need to go to the general option.
In the general screen, scroll down a tiny bit and you will see an accessibility section.
We will choose "accessibility".
The second line that says "zoom", is the one we want to access.
You can turn it on and off from there.
By turning it on and off, you are basically just switching the zoom on and off in your phone.
When it becomes green, which is the case right now, we know that it's on.
How to we access the zoom window?
We need three fingers.
Double-tap on the screen with your three fingers, all at the same time.
When you do that, the screen will pop up.
You can see, it zooms in letters.
You're welcome to change the settings and make the zoom bigger.
For that, you have to just tap the little oval shaped button once, and a zoom settings menu will appear and you can zoom in it or out from there.
You can also resize the zoom lens by tapping the lens and you can make it full screen.
You can modify the size and space occupied by the lens using the resize points as well.
To close it, you will have to double tap the screen with your three fingers.
Let's see how it works on a different screen.
We will go to the home screen.
You can move it around to see things.
You can change the window by pushing the little button I showed you before and make the zoom smaller or larger.
Double-tap with three fingers.
Keep in mind that all the options and buttons work within the frame of the zoom window.
If I need to open an application I can open it.
I can also close it within the frame.
Let's say I need to open notes. I can open it.
I can access the keyboard.
I can go up. I can resize the lens.
Double-tap with your three fingers to close it.
You just watched me accessing the zoom on iPhone 6.
It will be especially convenient when you're working with maps because the writing on the maps is so small.
You've just watched me showing you how to use the display zoom on iPhone 6.
If you have any additional questions, or if you would like to get more information on how your phone works, please leave them in the comments section below.
Thank you and goodbye!
Keep in touch.
