Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video we are going to show you how to use the Lumia Creative Studio to edit photos on a Microsoft Lumia 535.
To begin, we're going to press the power button on the right-hand side of the phone.
Now, we have activated the phone.
We're going to swipe up to take us to the Home screen.
Now, we want to swipe sideways from right to left to get to the App menu.
We are looking for Lumia Creative Studio, so scroll down to find it.
We're going to press that tile to open the application.
Now, we have some photos I've taken.
I want to edit these.
Choose any of your photos you would like to edit and tap on it.
Now, you can see that the photo is open.
What we now need to do is edit it, and we have four different editing options at the bottom of the screen.
At the far right we have blur, and we're going to press that.
The icon looks like a teardrop or water drop. This is the blur editing tool
The photo may change orientation.
We now have two additional options just below the photo.
The first is to create a circle.
We can use that to blur one particular area.
We could also make a giant rectangle by pressing the second option.
The area within the long rectangle that appears on the photo is the area that won't be blurred. Press down to select it.
Now, pressing on the water drop icon on the far right past the rectangle will bring up the option of how much we want to blur it.
We can see the blue line.
This is the bar.
If we press on the right side of the side this blurs the image quite a lot.
You'll see around the edges is blurred, but the area we selected is still as clear as before. So that's a good amount of blurring.
Next, we're going to go on to enhance.
This is the third icon on the bottom of the screen.
This is enhance.
Here there are five different options that appear.
The first one from the right is temperature.
Press that. It brings up another bar.
This allows us to increase or decrease the temperature.
My photo is very blue when it's decreased, like winter.
When you increase it, it's more like summer temperature, very hot colors.
Next, we have the second option from the right, the eye.
This is clarity.
We can select how clear we want the image to be.
If we decrease the clarity of the image, you can see it's a less clear.
Next option, the sun in the middle, is brightness.
Press on that. Press the bar to adjust as you've done with the other features.
How bright do you want it to be?
Do you want it to be very dark?
Maybe we'll keep it right in the middle.
Or maybe a bit darker to give it more powerful colors.
Next option, the second one from the left, is a square with lines through it.
This is shadows.
As before, we can increase or decrease the amount of shadowing on the image by adjusting the blue bar.
Decrease it to clear away the shadows.
The next option is the V on the far left.
This is vibrance. How vibrant do you want the image to be?
We can make it very vibrant.
Or we can take away the vibrancy and make it very dark.
The next option we have looks like three circles entwined.
This is the second icon from the left on the very bottom of the screen. Press that, and this is the filters.
You will see different options appear that allow you to change the filters.
Among them are retro fade and retro cool. Scroll across them to see more. There are quite a lot of different filters. You can select the one obviously that applies to you.
The next option we have is the square on the bottom left.
This is to crop the image.
We can crop it by moving it around on the screen.
We can also use the curved arrow.
This will allow us to rotate the image.
With the rectangle just to the left of the arrow we can choose the ratio.
Press it multiple times to change the ratio. It will change from the original photo to a ratio of 16.9, 3.2, 4.3, and 1 to 1.
Then we can move it around within the grid.
You can see that grid as you move the photo around with your finger. We'll move it around into the position we want to crop if we do want to crop it.
If we press the three dots at the far right of the screen next to the teardrop icon, this is the menu.
Now, we see we have some other options:
blur background, color pop, red-eye, save, or save as copy, or revert to original. You can save this as it is, and then this will be the only version of this image.
You can always press revert to original to go back if you don't know what you've done.
The best way to do things is to save as a copy.
Saving as a copy allows you to save this but also to retain your original version. It may take a moment to save this wonderful piece of art we've created.
Now, you can see we've radically changed the image.
If we tap on the arrow to go back, a message will appear asking if we want to save the changes.
We don't want to save changes to this picture because we have already saved a new one.
We want to keep this one as the original, so we're going to say no.
Now, you can see the original photo image and the new image.
You can see the differences by opening each one, and you can see some of the things that we were able to do.
So this concludes our tutorial on how to use Lumia Creative Studio to edit your photos when using a Microsoft Lumia 535.
