Steps

    At the bottom, we have the timeline, which shows the video clips together

    In the panel on the right-hand side, they are there as "Layers"

    Since we want apply a filter over the video, we need to remember to make sure that we've converted our video to a smart object, which we've shown how to do in another video available on this website as well

    Let's select our layer first

    Then come up to "Filter" in the menu at the top of the screen

    Come down to "Blur"

    Then we can move over to "Blur" or "Blur More" in the sub-menu.

    Let's go through "Blur" first

    "Blur" is very subtle, although we can see it's added in the "Layers" panel on the right-hand side
    .
    It doesn't allow us to really change anything. It just sort of generally blurs the image. It will take the colors from each part of the image, and then combine or sort of blur out any strange colors in each area.

    Let's show "Blur More"

    We can see that "Blur More" is quite significant compared to "Blur"
    .
    It's generally about 3 or 4 times stronger.

    If we decide we don't want those, we can hide them in the "Layers" panel on the right-hand side, or just step backwards a few times as well
