You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to use an APC Mobile Power Pack. Shown in this video is a 5000 mAh APC Pack. This is a battery that carries enough charges to fully restore battery power to two cellphones.
At the top of the device you will find that there are two USB ports.
On the right side of the device, there's a green power button.
It allows you to turn the device on. The button can be found to the right of the "-" end of the battery. The "-" end of the battery has a hole; the "+" end sticks out.
On the upper-right side of the phone, you will see a 5 VDC 1 A socket.
This is for charging phones. It is a slower method of charging.
On the other side, you have a 5 VDC 2.4 A socket.
This allows to charge the phone much faster, as it has higher power.
In the middle, you have a very small micro-USB input.
This is used for charging the device. We will explain how to charge the APC Battery Pack in a separate video.
Now, we are going to show you how to use ports to charge your phones.
Let's start with Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Note that there's the USB cable, which comes with the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. This is the USB-to-micro-USB cable.
Plug the cable in.
It goes right into the USB port. Push it to get it in.
Then, we are going to take iPhone 6.
We have a lightning-to-USB cable.
Plug the second cable to the other USB port.
Now, take a Samsung Galaxy S6.
Note that the battery on Samsung is currently at 90%.
Now, we are going to take the Samsung Galaxy cable.
Plug the micro-USB end of this cable into the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Push down and plug the cable in.
Note that currently Samsung Galaxy S6 is not charging.
This is because APC Power Pack is not turned on.
Next, we are going to take the iPhone 6.
Note that the iPhone 6 is at 82% of the battery charge.
Now take the lightning cable.
Plug the lightning cable into the iPhone.
Note again that the iPhone is also not charging.
Now, turn on the Power Pack by pressing the power button.
This is the green button on the side. Press the power button once to turn on the device.
When you press the power button, note that the lights come on the top of the APC device.
Now, you will see that both the iPhone and the Galaxy S6 have their batteries indicating charge.
The iPhone is green with a lightning bolt next to it. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is with a lightning bolt.
