    Scroll down and tap "Storage" to open the Storage settings

    An alternative method of accessing the Storage settings is to access Settings through the Apps menu
    .
    From the home screen, tap the Applications icon at the bottom of the screen, in the middle. This will bring up the Apps menu. Tap the Settings icon, which appears as a gear symbol, to open the Settings menu. Scroll down and tap "Storage" to open the Storage settings.

    Scroll down to the SD card section of the settings where the "Encrypt SD card content" box is checked

    This indicates that any content that is added to the SD will be encrypted, and cannot be accessed by any other phone.

    To disable encryption on the SD card, tap the checkbox to uncheck it

    There will be a notification that any files added to the SD card after disabling encryption will not be encrypted. However, any encrypted files that are currently on the SD card will remain encrypted.

    Enter the lock screen PIN or password and tap "NEXT" to authorize the change in settings

    Tap "DISABLE ENCRYPTION" to begin the process

    There will be another notification that in order to access previously encrypted files on the SD card, SD card encryption will need to be turned on again. While the unencryption process is being completed, the SD card will be unavailable.

    The SD card section of the Storage settings will be grayed out while the unencryption process is being completed

    When the SD card section is no longer greyed out and is once again available, the unencryption process has been completed
    .
    If you are concerned that there are encrypted files on the SD card that cannot be accessed and are therefore no longer needed, it is recommended that you format the SD card. This will erase all of the files on the SD card. I've either forgotten my encryption pin or its been changed, either way I can't turn off the SD card encryption. How can I do this without a factory reset?
