    Launch the Facebook app

    From the News Feed, tap on the "More" icon in the bottom right-hand corner

    Scroll down to the bottom of the menu and tap on "Settings"

    Tap on "Account Settings"

    Tap on "Auto-play"

    The default is "Smart Auto-play", and this is Facebooks best judgement as to whether we have enough data, battery life, etc., to auto-play videos on our phone.

    We can also change it to "Use Cellular Data and WiFi", "Use WiFi Only", or "Never Play Videos Automatically"

    The last option would be good if we wanted to see what the content was before we are forced to watch it. We'll turn off auto-play by tapping on "Never Play Videos Automatically". We can then go back to our News Feed, and now videos will never play automatically.
