Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to turn on and off notifications for an individual chat when using the Skype application on a Microsoft Lumia 535.
- 3On the home screen, we're looking for the Skype tile.It has a blue background with the Skype logo in the middle, which is a white circle with a blue letter "S" inside. If it has not been pinned to the home screen, swipe the screen to the left and find it in the "Apps" menu. Once you've located the Skype tile wherever it may be, press down on it to enter the application.
- 7Now, we are currently in the chat section with an individual contact. What we want to do in this video is show you how to turn notifications off and on. You can decide which chats to receive notifications from on your Microsoft Lumia 535. If you don't want some chats to send you notifications directly to your phone, you can turn this option off. You can also turn it on if you want to receive notifications from some specific chats. These are notifications that Skype will send to your Microsoft Lumia 535. To do this, press the ellipses icon at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen to go to the menu. Some options will appear.
- 9At the top of the screen it will say "Chat Notifications - Notifications for this chat are turned on".That means that we currently receive notifications directly to the Microsoft Lumia 535 regarding this particular chat. If we want to turn this off and we don't want to receive direct notifications from Skype to our phone, we press the first option, "turn off". Now it's going to be turned off.
- 13This concludes our tutorial on how to turn on or off notifications for an individual chat when using the Skype application on a Microsoft Lumia 535.If you have any questions or comments about this video or about the application itself, then please leave them in the comment section below, and we shall answer them for you.
