Turn On or Turn Off Airbnb Push Notifications on iPhone 6
Edited by Freya, Alexander Avdeev, Anonymous, Doug Collins
Hi! You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to switch on or switch off the push notifications in the Airbnb application on the iPhone 6.
To begin, we should unlock our phone, which we can do by pressing the big round button at the bottom of the phone.
Alternatively, we can press the lock button on the right-hand side of the phone.
The lock screen will be shown.
We enter our passcode or put our finger onto the home button, which doubles as a fingerprint scanner if we have that option enabled.
We should locate the Airbnb icon.
Home screens may vary. In this example, everything is kept in folders, and there is also a personalized wallpaper on the screen. Airbnb is in the "Travel" folder. The icon itself is a hot-pink- or coral-colored logo with an upside-down linear love heart, and it looks like a triangle, actually.
We tap the Airbnb icon once to open the application.
The default screen will be shown, where Airbnb will be offering the most popular destinations within the application. There are several icons at the bottom.
There is the default screen icon.
The icon is a triangular upside-down love heart symbol.
The next is icon the magnifying glass icon that can search for more obscure locations.
There is another video on VisiHow where we show the process of searching for more obscure locations.
There is the envelope icon that shows our messages.
There is the briefcase icon that shows the trips that we've planned.
There is our profile icon in the bottom right-hand corner.
The icon looks like a little man in a circle.
We tap the profile icon once.
A new window will be shown with our profile picture, our wish list (a heart icon), our settings (a cog icon), and a few other options.
We tap the settings icon.
There is the "Push Notifications" option shown immediately. The push notification is a red circle icon with a number, most likely 1 or 2, that will come up when someone messaged us or liked our location.
The red numbered circle icon will be shown on the application icon if push notifications are enabled.
If we find push notifications annoying, or we do not want them to be shown, we just tap on the toggle next to "Push Notifications".
The toggle will turn grey, which means that it is not enabled.
If we want to enable push notifications again, we tap the toggle again.
It is pink. The pink means that it is now in place. We do not need to tap "Save" anywhere for that.
We just tap "Close" in the top left-hand corner.
This will take us to the default screen.
