Turn On or Off the Option to End Calls with the Power Button on HTC One M8

Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show you how to turn on and off the options for the Power button to be able to end phone calls on an HTC One M8.


Steps

    To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button, located on the top of the phone

    Once the phone has been activated, we'll see the Lock screen

    To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards

    Once the phone has been unlocked, we'll see the Home screen and at the bottom we'll see some icons

    What we now need to do is to find the Settings menu, and to do that, we need to swipe the Notification panel down

    Start right at the top of the screen and swipe downwards.

    Now we can see that the Notification panel has appeared

    We are looking for the icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen, where we see a white cog

    This is our Settings icon.

    Press down on it, and our "Settings" menu will open

    We can see that it says the word "Settings" here in the top left-hand corner of the screen.

    Now, let's scroll down until we get to the "PERSONAL" section

    We can see that it says the word "PERSONAL" in this gray bar.

    In this section, we are looking for this option located here

    It says the word "Accessibility" and next to this word, there is an icon of a hand.

    Press down on this option, and it will open up our "Accessibility" menu

    Now, let's scroll down until we get to the "SYSTEM" section

    We can see it says the word "SYSTEM" in this gray bar.

    In this section, we're looking for this option that says, "Power button ends call"
    .
    What this function does is it allows us to end a phone call simply by pressing the Power button, which is located on the top of the phone. Currently, we can see that this function is not activated, it is deactivated because this box is empty.

    If we want to activate this function, simply press down on the box until we see that the box is green and has a white check inside

    This signals that the function has been activated.

    If however, we don't want to use this function, then we can deactivate it by simply pressing down on the box

    We can see now that the box is empty, the check is gone and the box is white. Now the option has been deactivated.
