Edited by Thor, Rushell, Eng, Anonymous
Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to turn on and off application request notifications from Facebook on an HTC One M8.
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on the top of the phone.
Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.
To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards.
Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see several icons.
It is one of these icons that we now need to access, as we need to open up the Applications folder.
To do that, we can use the icon located at the bottom of the home screen and in the middle.
It is a grid made up of white dots.
Press down on this icon, and it will open up the "Apps" folder.
We now need to find the "Facebook" application.
The "Facebook" icon is blue with a white "f" on top, and underneath it says the word "Facebook".
Press down on the "Facebook" icon, and it will open up the application.
We now need to find the Settings menu, and to do that we can use the icon located on the far right hand side of the screen in the white bar.
There are three gray horizontal lines. This icon is faint, but should still be visible.
Press down on that icon to open a menu.
We want the option that says, "App Settings".
Next to these words, there is a gray circle with a white cog icon inside. It may be necessary to scroll up or down to find that option.
Press down on "App Settings" to open the "Settings" menu.
We want the first available option, "Notifications" so press down on that section.
On the next screen, scroll down to "Application requests".
Currently, this option is activated.
As we can see, the switch icon on the right side of the screen is blue. This means that when we receive "Application requests" in Facebook, such as Candy Crush or any of the applications that exist on Facebook, we will receive a notification about this request.
However, if we don't want to receive any notifications about "Application requests", then press down on the switch icon until the circle changes from blue to white.
That means the option is deactivated.
If we do want to receive "Application requests", we can press down on the switch icon again until it turns blue.
That means the option is activated.
This concludes our tutorial on how to turn on and off application request notifications from Facebook on an HTC One M8.
