Hello and thank you for watching VisiHow. Today I will show you how to turn on and off activity detection in Google Fit on the LG L70.
To begin, unlock the phone by pressing the power button on the top right-hand side.
Then swipe up one time to get to the home screen.
Google Fit is installed on this home screen.
It is a heart-shaped icon that says Fit below it. If Google Fit is not on the home screen it can be accessed through the Apps menu.
This Apps menu is located at the bottom, right-hand side of the screen.
It is a grey box with a set of white squares inside it. This example will access Google Fit directly from the home screen by tapping on the heart-shaped icon once.
If we scroll slightly down below today's activity we can see a message that says "Activity detection is off," which means anything that we've done so far today has not been recorded.
If we want to turn on activity detection we need to go through our Settings menu.
There is a message that says, "To see your progress throughout the day, turn on activity detection in Fit settings.
The grey button below that message says, "GO TO FIT SETTINGS."
If we tap on the grey button we will be taken to FIT SETTINGS.
Another way to go to FIT SETTINGS is by scrolling all the way to the top and finding a set of three horizontal dots on the top, right-hand side.
Tap on those dots to reach the pop-up menu. I
This pop-up provides us with four options:
"Add activity," "Log your weight," "Settings," and "Help & feedback." "Settings" is the third option and if we select this button by tapping it one time we go to the same Settings page.
We can see our profile, including our "Daily goal."
Then we can see our "Favorite activities."
Next is our "Basic information," including our height and weight, and how we are tracking our goals and activities.
Below that is a section for "Google Fit data," which shows the account that we have connected to Google Fit.
The second option is for activity detection. We can see that it is currently grey and in the "OFF" position. If we want to allow Google Fit to track our activity we need to press the "OFF" button once.
We will reach the pop-up page that says that it would like to turn on and access "Activity Data" and "Body Sensor Data," and "Location History and Reporting."
If we want to enable Google Fit to track our activity we need to scroll through the terms and read how it works.
If we agree to the terms, tap once on "I AGREE" in blue writing at the bottom, right-hand side.
We can see now that Activity detection is in blue and turned "ON."
If we are seated for a long period of time and we don't want to drain the battery as quickly, we can turn activity detection "OFF" by tapping on the icon for "ON" one time.
We get a pop-up that now says, "Google Fit activity detection is turned off." We can tap "OK."
If we want to close this application we can tap the bottom, center button once to return to the home screen.
This concludes today's tutorial on how to turn on and off activity detection in Google Fit on the LG L70.
