Hello and thank you for watching VisiHow. Today I will show you how turn off Facebook Messenger notifications on the LG L70.
To begin, unlock the phone by pressing the power button on the top, left-hand side.
Then swipe up to get to the home screen.
Facebook Messenger is not on the home screen in this example.
The messages area can be accessed through Facebook. Otherwise we can tap on the Apps icon in the bottom, right-hand side of the example. It is a grey box with a set of white squares inside of it.
Tap once to open up the Apps menu.
Scroll to the left and right through the menu until we have found the icon for Messenger.
It is a blue chat bubble. Tap once on the icon to open up the Messenger application.
There are four icons across the top of Facebook Messenger:
A clock, a group of people, a bulleted list, and a gear-shaped icon. The gear-shaped icon is for Settings.
Tap on the gear-shaped icon one time to view all of our settings for the account.
Now tap once on the second setting is for "Notifications & Sounds" and it is currently turned on in this example.
Tap once to access the On/Off switch that is currently blue.
It is on the top right-hand side of the screen.
We can see that it has changed to grey.
Additionally, we get a pop-up box that we can Mute Notifications "For 15 Minutes," "For 1 Hour," "For 8 Hours," or "For 24 Hours."
Press on the option to mute notifications "For 1 Hour."
After making the selection it will let us know that Notifications and Sounds will be off until (14:09) 2:09 pm, which is one hour from when it has been set.
We can close this screen by pressing the bottom, center button to return to the home screen.
