Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the Gmail application
    .
There is a Gmail icon, which is an envelope with a red 'M', and underneath it says the word "Gmail". Your application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder. We now need to find the settings menu.

We want to tap on "Inbox sound & vibrate"
    .
This option is only for the Primary inbox. Under "Inbox categories", we can see 3 categories, "Primary", "Social" and "Promotions". We can edit the notification options for these other categories in another section. Gmail actually calls them 'labels' which can be confusing, because they call them 'categories' in this section.

At the bottom, we have this option "Notify for every message"
    .
Underneath it says "Play sound/vibrate when each new message arrives". We can see it is currently off because the box is empty. If we do want to receive a notification for every message, we can turn it on by pressing down on the box.
