Hello! Welcome to VisiHow! In this video, we are going to show you how to turn on and off friend request notifications from Facebook on the HTC One M8.
To begin, we turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the top of the phone.
Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.
To unlock the phone, we swipe the screen upwards.
Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen with icons at the bottom. It is one of these icons that we need to access, as we need to access the applications folder.
To access the applications folder, we need to tap the "App" icon.
The icon is at the bottom and in the middle of the home screen. The icon has a grid made of white dots. Tapping the icon will open up our applications folder.
We need to find the Facebook application in the application folder.
The application has the Facebook icon, which has a blue background with a white "f" on top. Underneath, the icon has the word "Facebook". Tapping the icon will open up the application.
We now need to find the settings menu.
To do that, we need to tap the icon at the far right-hand side of the screen. The icon is in a white bar and has three quite faint gray horizontal lines. Tapping the icon will open up the "Settings" menu.
We may need to scroll up or down until we see the "App Settings" option.
We tap the "App Settings" option to open up the "Settings" menu.
There is a gray circle with a white cog inside next to "App Settings". Tapping the option will open up the "General" menu.
We need to tap the first option on the top that says, "Notifications".
We scroll down to the "Friend requests" option.
In this video, this option is activated, because the toggle next to it is blue. Now, when we have a friend request in Facebook, we will receive a notification telling us about the friend request.
If we don't want to receive notifications about friend requests in Facebook, then we tap the toggle next to "Friends requests".
The toggle will turn white. This means that the option next to it is deactivated.
If we do want to receive notifications about any friend requests in Facebook, then we tap the toggle next to "Friends requests".
The toggle will turn blue. This means that the option next to it is activated.
This concludes our tutorial on how to turn on and off friend request notifications from Facebook on the HTC One M8.
