Edited by Lukward Thomason, Imado, Eng
Hi. You are watching VisiHow, and this is a tutorial on how to turn the Firewall on or off on Windows 8 computers.
We need to access the Control Panel, and the easiest way to do this is to right click on the lower-left corner of the screen, and then select the "Control Panel".
When the Control Panel opens, we need to go to "System and Security", click it.
We can now click the "Windows Firewall".
In this case, and on the left side of the screen, click the text link "Turn Windows Firewall on or off".
In this window, we can either turn the Firewall on or off.
We have two options here, we have "Privet network settings", and "Public network settings". In this instance, the Firewall for the privet network is turned on, and the Firewall for the public network is turned off.
We can change this, for example, to turn it off, we need to click the "Turn off Windows Firewall".
For Public networks, we can turn on the Windows Firewall as well.
Once you have set everything according to your preference, click "OK".
The Firewall Settings will be changed.
We can now close this window.
This concludes our tutorial on how to turn Firewall on or off on Windows 8 computers.
Thank you for watching VisiHow, if you have any other comments or questions, please leave them in the comment section below.
