You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to quickly and easily turn Airplane mode on or off on the HTC One M8.
To start with, we give a single press to the 'Lock screen' button.
Alternatively, we can also pick up our phone and double-tap the screen.
Locate the 'Lock' icon at the bottom.
Tap and hold the 'Lock' icon and swipe up to enter the phone.
If we have a PIN or a passcode, we'll need to enter that as well.
Once inside the phone, we simply need to go to the notifications panel by swiping down from the top.
We tap the notifications panel icon in the upper right corner.
We locate and tap the picture of the airplane.
This is 'AIRPLANE MODE'. One tap will enable Airplane mode. The phone will be in Airplane mode. The indicator at the bottom will say 'Airplane Mode is on'.
If we would like to turn off Airplane mode, we tap the airplane icon once again.
Airplane mode will be turned off. We'll note the plane flashing. The phone will switch to the 'Home' screen.
We'll see some of our little icons, like 'WiFi', are reappearing or reconnecting at the top bar.
We swipe down the notifications panel from the top.
If we tap the main notifications area again in the upper-right corner, we will see that the Airplane mode is not turned on.
The other way we can access Airplane mode is by tapping on 'Settings'.
In 'Settings', we'll have the option to turn Airplane mode on by simply tapping it.
We can also turn Airplane mode off by simply tapping the option.
Go to the 'Home' screen by pressing the 'Home' button at the bottom of the phone.
We can tap on our recent applications icon and close where we have just been.
Now, we can tap the icon with a series of dots, which represents the applications folder.
We give it a tap to bring up the main 'Apps' folder.
Again, tap on 'Settings'.
We'll see the Airplane mode option, which we can tap to turn it on.
We swipe down from the top.
We tap the icon in the upper-right corner to go back to the notifications panel.
We can tap 'AIRPLANE MODE' from this panel to turn the Airplane mode on or off as well.
It does not matter where we are on the phone, or how we accessed Airplane mode, we can enable and disable the mode from a number of different areas.
This concludes the tutorial on how to enable and disable the airplane mode on the HTC One M8.
