You may Hard Reset your Samsung Galaxy Xcover to remove the screen lock. Please follow the steps below on how to Hard Reset your phone.

Note: This will delete all the data on your phone.

  • Turn off your phone.
  • Press and hold volume up key, home button and power button at the same time.
  • Release the buttons when Samsung logo appears.
  • On the recovery menu, navigate to "wipe data/Factory Reset" using your volume keys, then press home button to select.
  • Then select "yes - delete all user data".
  • Then after wipe is complete, select "reboot system now"
  • That's it. After your phone reboots, you will not have the screen lock anymore.

You can unlock your device by doing the following:

  • After too many pattern attempts, You should see the "forgot password" button on your screen. Click that button.
  • Then sign in with your Google account.
  • That's it. This should unlock your device.

If your account is not accepted, you may need to Hard Reset your device. To do this, you must first know what key combination you should press to access recovery mode. The key combination to access recovery is not the same on every device. Usually, you could access recovery by pressing volume up+power key while your phone is off, or volume up+home+power key for Samsung devices. Then if you could successfully access recovery, you can now reset your phone by selecting "wipe data/Factory Reset" using your volume keys, then by pressing either your power key or home key to confirm, this also depends on the brand/model you have. That's it.
