The system loads but the screen remains black and only the mouse cursor shoes up?

I am using windows 7.On turning on the CPU the screen displays two options: 1) Repair windows and 2) Load to windows 7 . When I select the later option, the windows logo appears followed by the black screen. Only the white cursor is seen on the screen and no keyboard command works. . Can you please help in solving this problem.. I have tried: I tried to reboot several times but the problem persists.

On entering the repair mode it says that " Windows failed to repair the problem". I think it was caused by: The possibilities are:-

1 ) Shutting down the PC suddenly.

2 ) It can't be due to virus I guess.(I have a good antivirus installed)

3 ) Due to Loose wiring inside CPU( I will check it in afternoon)
