Yes, you can limit the number of emails that your phone stores by going into your email application's settings. Do the following if you use the stock Email application:

  • Open your Email app.
  • Tap the Menu key in the lower left-hand corner of your phone.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Tap Account settings for the account you want to edit.
  • Tap the account again.
  • Tap Sync settings.
  • Tap Period to Sync email.

While this won't allow you to set a particular number of emails, it will limit how many stay on the device. If you use the Gmail application, do the following:

  • Open your Gmail app.
  • Tap the Menu key in the lower left-hand corner of your phone.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Tap the email address you want to edit.
  • Tap Days of mail to sync.

Again, this doesn't allow you to set a particular number of emails, but it will limit how many stay on the device depending on how many emails you get during a particular time period.

If you use a different email application, the process may be similar to the steps listed above.

It seems that my email is not pulling in new emails. I know there is a way to list a certain amount of emails or all. I believe I have it on all but can't seem to find the location of this setting?

Can't remember where the setting for this is located
