Hello, you are watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to take a photo in the Snapchat application on the iPhone 6.
Press the Lock button on the right side of the phone to turn the screen on and display the lock screen
Alternatively, press the Home button at the bottom of the phone.
Swipe from left to right and enter the passcode or, if the option is enabled, press a finger on the Home button to unlock the phone and display the Home screen
Find and tap the Snapchat icon to open the Snapchat application
The Snapchat icon has a white ghost on a yellow background.
The app will open to the default screen, the camera screen, which uses the camera on the back of the phone
Tap the capture icon at the bottom of the screen, in the middle, to take a photo
Once the photo has been taken, it will be displayed on the screen.
Tap the white 'X' in the top left corner of the screen to discard the photo and take a new one
Tap the switch camera icon in the top right corner of the screen to switch between the camera on the back of the phone and the camera on the front of the phone
The switch camera icon looks like an image of a camera, but the outline is made up of two arrows.
Once a photo has been taken that we would like to use, tap the arrow icon in the bottom right corner of the screen to proceed to the 'Send To' screen
Tap the contacts we would like to send the photo to
Once a contact has been selected, there will be a blue checkmark icon to the right of the contact. For contacts in the 'BEST FRIENDS' section of the 'Send To' screen, the blue checkmark will be replaced with a star, which indicates a contact that we often send a photo to.
Tap 'My Story' to add a photo to our story
Once 'My Story' has been selected, a purple checkmark icon will appear to the right of 'My Story'.
Tap a selected contact, or 'My Story', again to remove the checkmark and not send the photo to that contact
When we have finished selecting contacts to send the photo to, tap the arrow icon in the bottom right corner of the screen to send the photo
The contacts who we sent the photo to will appear in the list of sent and received photos
Swipe from right to left to return to the camera screen
This concludes the tutorial on how to take a photo in the Snapchat application on the iPhone 6
