Questions and Answers

My S5 will not stay in any mode?

I prefer the normal mode, but no matter which mode I choose just about every time I hit the home button it asks me which mode I want. I choose and hit "always" and it reminds me how to change my settings. This happened 20 -30 times a day. I have tried it in easy mode and private mode, the same thing happens.

This is unfortunately a bug in the Android operating system, and there is no easy fix for it. Some people have reported success with a soft reset of their device - either by holding down the power button for 20 seconds, or by removing their battery, SIM, and SD cards, and waiting a couple minutes before putting them all back in and rebooting the phone.

Was this helpful? Yes | No | I need help

Others have been forced to back up their important data, and then perform a Factory Reset. This problem is impacting users across all carriers, but it is a very rare occurrence, and is software related. As a last resort, performing a factory reset on your Android device will fix this problem.

Do you get the same functions on both easy and standard?

I want to know, if everything on standard mode is available in easy mode in a Samsung.

No, everything in Standard mode is not available in easy mode. In fact, easy mode is targeted towards children, and people who are not tech savvy. While you can easily switch back and forth between the two modes, as described in this guide, you will not have access to the full range of features available in Standard mode while you are in easy mode.

I have tried Standard mode back and forth Easy mode and I would like to get back to Standard. Thank you.

Sometimes your phone can glitch, or hang, which will leave you 'stuck' in a particular mode. To get out of this, and go back to Standard mode, please reference the first answer in this Q&A, which will show you how to get out of easy mode, and back into Standard mode.

I can't zoom in or out on camera on Samsung S4 Galaxy mini

You could try pinching and unpinching your fingers on the screen. However, if the error gives you a screen message that reads "Cannot zoom in or out in this mode", then be aware that zooming will not work while your phone is in the "Easy Mode". You have to revert back to the "Standard Mode" (follow steps 22-26 in this tutorial).

Hello, I've somehow lost the way my home screen used to look?

I had the screen with my folders and now they are gone and the easy / standard mode is there instead. I've been unsuccessful in getting back to the mode (not sure if I'm calling it the right way) that I used to have. The phone asked me to choose between two different options (sorry I don't remember what they were) and I didn't know what they were asking me, and now I have the phone in easy mode and I want to have it back the way it used to me. Sorry if I"m not being detailed enough.. I have tried: Tried restarting the phone but it remained in the easy mode. I don't see a difference between easy and standard mode at all.. I think it was caused by: Mentioned earlier
