Storage Issue SD card shows space but it won't let me move data to it. Will a hard reset fix this?

SD card showing 29.33GB of space left, but won't receive data. will a hard reset fix this? could my card be defective?. I have tried: Connecting it to my computer to check data. I also just bought a larger SD card-64GB. I think it was caused by: I have no idea-I've always had storage issues with my GalaxyS4 Tab
