Freya, Robert, Eng
Hi, welcome to VisiHow. Today I'm going to teach you how to start a new chat with friends on Snapchat using the Snapchat application on the iPhone 6.
To begin, press the lock button on the right-hand side of the phone
Alternatively, we can unlock our phone by pressing the round button at the bottom of the screen
Swipe to the right to enter your passcode
As an alternative to entering your passcode, put your finger on the home button to use the fingerprint scanner.
Find the Snapchat icon on the home screen
In this example, the home screen is customized and might look a bit different. In this example, it is located in the 'Social' folder. The icon is yellow with the shape of a white ghost in the center. Tap it once to open the application.
Tap and swipe to the right to open your chats
As we can see, the application starts with the camera and in this example I am using the back camera.
Tap on the icon in the top-left corner that looks like a white speech bubble
Alternatively, we can just tap on one of our contacts names if they are on the list
Once you've chosen someone to chat with, you may choose to send a photo by tapping on the icon that is yellow with a white circle inside of it
To send a message we've typed, we will tap on the blue "Send" button
This will start a chat.
Tap and swipe to the left two times to go back to the camera screen
To take a photo, tap on the circular gray button at the bottom of the screen
To send the photo, tap on the white arrow in the bottom-right corner of the screen
Tap on a name and tap on the white arrow in the bottom-right corner of the screen to send the photo to them
Tap and swipe to the left to go back to the camera where we began
Now you know how to start a new chat with friends using the Snapchat application on the iPhone 6
