Hello. You're watching VisiHow and today I'm going to show you how can sort your search results on the Amazon application on the iPhone 6.
To begin, unlock your phone by pressing the lock button in the right-hand side.
Alternatively, you can press the big, round Home button at the bottom of the screen.
Swipe to the right to enter your passcode or hold your finger to the Home button to use the fingerprint scanner.
Unlocking the phone directs you to the Home screen.
Find your Amazon icon, which is white with the word Amazon in black, above a blue shopping cart.
Tap the Amazon icon once to open the app and be directed to the Home screen.
Here, you are offered the most popular items and items you might be interested in.
We are going to use the search bar at the top of the screen.
Refer to another video I've made where you learn exactly how to search using this bar. This example will use a previous search.
This is the books page with a lot of results, as indicated by the number on the left-hand side of the page.
We want to sort these results to make life easier.
On the right-hand side tap "Filter."
Tap the second option called, "Department," in the pop-up menu.
Here you will specify which department you want.
At the moment we are in 'Books' and it is highlighted in orange with a little orange circle or bullet point on the right side.
Above the "Department" you have "Sort By Relevance."
Tap on the "Sort By Relevance" bar to bring up the drop-down menu for this particular item.
For example, in "Books," to search the "Publication Date" or "Price Low To High" click on the option desired.
This example uses "Price Low To High." The "Price Low To High" option is now highlighted.
The screen goes grey as it uploads the latest search results.
Tap the loaded books in the left-hand column to clear out the search window.
Scroll down the low to high prices. Amazon offers free books, as well, as indicated by the $0.00 price and will be listed first.
To change the search, tap "Filter" in the right-hand corner.
Now specify which option you want.
This example uses "Publication Date," as indicated by the highlighted field and orange bullet point.
The offerings with the most recent or oldest publication dates load on the left-hand column.
To go back, press the grey arrow in the top left-hand corner.
Alternatively, tap the three horizontal lines next to the grey arrow.
Then tap "Home," which is the first option in the pop-up menu.
This brings you back to the original Home screen, where we began.
Thank you very much for watching.
