First of all, it can be the size of the audio files. Uncompressed DVD audio may take that much. Also, there can be other files on the SD card.

Take the card out of the device and put it into a microSD-to-standard-SD adapter. Put it into a card reader of your computer. Open a File Explorer and copy the required files off it to any folder on your PC. Right-click the SD card drive and select "Format". Choose "exFat" and 2048 as sector size. Check "Quick format" and start formatting the drive.

Close the formatting tool and right-click the SD card drive again. Click the "Properties" menu. The total size of the SD card will be shown. If it is less than 8 GB, then the flash card can be fake. After that, either put it back into the phone or return to the store.

My SD card content completely lost?

I was transferring some data including photos and videos from my smartphone (internal storage and SD card) connected to PC as media device (MTP). Done with the transfer things, just want to organize a bit of my phone, giving it more space and also SD card content, suddenly realized all the SD card content got completely lost. Happened when I was deleting some photos from the internal storage, without involving any content from the SD card and suddenly realized that my SD card got nothing. Initially, there were 3GB+ of free space from total 8GB. Noticed that, during the deleting process, pop-up came up 3x saying error occur and continue deleting may cause damage to storage. But I did not see any signs of losing content from SD card as the deleting process kept on working normally. Now, my internal storage also got hidden some of its content because there are only1GB+ free space left from total 8GB. Help me! I do not want to lose any of the content from both internal and SD card!
