Smart view won't work on Sony TV?

I followed the instructions for Smart View and it doesn't work at all. I have tried: I followed all the steps as said then it would say connected but would never show on TV screen. I think it was caused by: Device must not work with Samsung tab 2, I'm not sure

It is not the Sony TV but most likely another issue. Download the SmartView APK on your PC. Even though you might have gotten the Smart View from the Play Store or had the app preloaded still use the APK. Install the APK to your Tab 2 after connecting to the PC. Open the app and try to connect to the Sony TV. If you are not connecting then it is because you are not on the same WiFi network within your router settings. Sometimes unplugging the TV and then beginning the connection helps. one last thing to try is to install the Samsung Screen Mirroring Patch from Google Play on your tablet. After the OS update, many devices would not work and this patch is to correct the OS bug. There are a variety of Screen Mirroring apps in Google Play. Use one of those instead of Smart View if you are still experiencing issues. A good one is PlayTo Sony TV which you should consider since you have a Sony television.
