You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show you how you can sign up to Fitbit on the Fitbit application on the iPhone 6.
To begin, unlock the phone
Either press the lock button on the side, or the home button at the bottom.
Swipe from left to right across the screen
Enter the passcode, or press a finger to the home button to use the fingerprint scanner
It is black with a diamond-shaped pattern of blue and white dots in the center. Tap once to open up the app. The initial screen cycles through different things we're using Fitbit for, such as "Sleep better" and "Eat better".
Tap "Join Fitbit" near the bottom of the screen
Scroll to find the tracker that is being used, and tap it to add it
Alternatively, tap "No Fitbit Yet?"
For this demonstration, we will select this option. This will select our iPhone as our device.
Set up the iPhone to track motion
It says, "Your iPhone 6 can start tracking the basics with MobileTrack." Tap "Set Up Your Phone" at the bottom of the screen.
We will have to fill in some details to help the app "To get an accurate picture of your activity".
Press and drag vertically to change the height
Release when it reads correctly.
Tap the image of a woman or a man to select gender
The selected image will turn pink.
Press and drag horizontally to change the listed weight
In our demonstration, the units are stones and pounds. Release when it reads correctly.
Scroll horizontally through reach row to make changes to the day, month and year.
Tap in each field and use the keyboard that appears to type the requested information
We can add our "Full Name", "Email" and "Password" to finish creating our account. Tap and type in each box. Remember that passwords usually have a minimum number of six or eight characters, and they usually like us to include numbers as well.
Keep the second box selected, or tap it to remove the checkmark
It determines whether or not we will receive updates "about Fitbit products, news, and promotions". We don't want any updates, so we will tap to deselect the box.
If there were any errors, we will see a pop-up window that says, "Problem Creating Account"
It will also describe the problem. In our case, we did not use a valid email. Tap "OK".
We forgot to add ".com" to our email address.
The bar at the bottom of the screen will show a spinning circle to indicate that it is still creating our account.
Tap "OK" or "Don't Allow" to indicate whether we would like notifications from the app
We will select "Don't Allow" for this demonstration. Now we're signed up to Fitbit.
Scroll to view available information, or go through and start "Challenges". We can start adding friends, editing exercise, and so on.
We've just shown you how you can sign up to Fitbit on the Fitbit application on the iPhone 6. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to add them to the section below and we'll do our best to get back to you.
