You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to use your iPhone to sign in to Facebook instead of the Facebook application.
- 12On this screen, we will see that we are not signed in to Facebook. That is because this is iPhone's signature area. This screen signs us in through iPhone into Facebook and allows us to access certain types of functions and information that are specific to the iPhone. One of those functions is updating your iPhone contacts and photos using Facebook. On this website, there is a tutorial on how to update iPhone contacts, as well as a tutorial on how to update Twitter contacts. Either of those would be helpful. Additionally, this enhances and improves Facebook notifications delivered through the iPhone notifications menu, as opposed to delivered through the Facebook notifications on the iPhone menu. If it sounds a bit confusing, that's because it is. What we need to keep in mind is that in order to use any of these services, the most important one being updating our contacts, we must be signed in through Facebook here. Let's do that now.
- 15Once we tap "Sign In" below the "User Name" and "Password, there will be a message from Facebook that says it will allow us to download our friends to the contacts app.It will keep the information up to date for us, download Facebook events, and allow us to post status updates, photos, and work with apps, etc. There is a bunch of extra fine print at the bottom as well, which can be read if desired. Basically, we are just giving Facebook access to a little bit more of our information, which they probably already had access to anyway.
- 19This concludes our tutorial on how to sign in to Facebook through the iPhone 6 instead of the Facebook app and give your iPhone 6 access to special Facebook things and items and options on your phone. If you need additional help or support with this or any other function, please do leave us a comment in the section below. We will be happy to help you and get back to you. If you liked this video or if you thought it was cool, I'd personally love to hear about that as well. Otherwise, thanks for choosing VisiHow and have a great day!Advertisement
